I know this is a bit redundant, but it is really hard to explain just how loud Tiger Stadium is when you're standing on the field. The crowd is moving and swaying so much, and in so many directions, it makes the stands look blurry, like a pointillist painting.

Baton Rouge happens to be the worst place in the world for a visiting team. It's like being inside a drum.

Congratulations to the Auburn team and coach Malzahn. The piece for us was that we took some first and ten's and could not get a third down conversion. We kept putting the defense on the field. We tackled, we played hard, but offensively we did not execute. We are a work in progress. Certainly a group of men that are committed to fixing things. But frankly we did not get it done today.

Just executing better. Getting into plays that help the offense as a whole, knowing our assignments better and just starting off stronger as you know we've struggled to do at times.

It's what you'd expect out of Baton Rouge: people tailgating with shrimp étouffée, everything from alligators roasting on a barbecue to dishes that you would get in the French Quarter. These people are serious and they are legit and they're ready to go.

On Saturday, I went back to Baton Rouge to see Alabama barely beat LSU, and was, once again, reminded that Tiger Stadium is the best place in the world to watch a sporting event. ...
